Landis Homes plans to demolish nine cottage buildings on
its Manheim Township campus and replace them with a four-story, 105,000-square-foot
learning and wellness center.
The $22 million construction project, which is being
managed by East Lampeter Township-based High Construction Co., is slated to
begin in September and wrap up by the beginning of 2018.
Designed by Manheim Township-based RLPS Architects, the new
center will include an indoor pool and exercise space, as well as a bistro,
salon, pharmacy, bank, auditorium and a classroom.
Also within the footprint are 22 new apartments, offering
four floor plans with one- and two-bedroom units, ranging from 1,145 to 1,395
square feet. The demolition will impact 30 homes, according to High.
