A
50-unit senior apartment building has opened at the site of the former A.S.
Kreider Shoe factory in Lebanon.
The
Wyomissing office of York Township-based Kinsley Construction Inc.
oversaw construction of the six-story, 63,000-square-foot affordable housing
project on North Eighth Street for Ohio-based Woda Group.
The
$12 million million senior-living project, which includes a mix of one- and
two-bedroom apartments, received more than $1.4 million in low-income tax
credits in 2014 from the Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency.
Construction
began in May 2015. The average rent is about $550 per month, plus all electric
utilities. The developer said it expects full occupancy by the end of the year.
Woda
specializes in affordable multifamily apartments, senior communities and
single-family homes. The company has developed more than 8,500 units in 12
states since 1990.
