420 of the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and
Pipefitting Industry of the United States and Canada filed a complaint on June
30 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of
Pennsylvania against McCorry Mechanical Services Inc., alleging that the
employer failed to pay monthly contributions to the labor group.
According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that
they sustained damages as a result of unpaid contributions. The plaintiffs hold
the defendant responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to pay
contributions to the plaintiffs on behalf of employees under the terms of a
collective bargaining agreement.
The plaintiffs seek payment of $22,661.24 including interest,
liquidated damages, court costs and any further relief this court grants. They
are represented by William T. Josem and Jeremy E. Meyer of Cleary, Josem &
Trigiani LLP in Philadelphia.
