East Hempfield Township-based Warfel Construction Co.
last week broke ground on a $5.9 million office and manufacturing expansion for
Aerzen USA in Chester County.
The 22,000-square-foot expansion will allow Aerzen USA, a
maker of air and gas moving equipment, blowers, compressors and vacuum pumps,
to expand services and product lines.
Aerzen USA is a subsidiary of a German
machinery manufacturer.
The addition, which is expected to be done by next July,
will feature a geothermal well field to support heating, ventilation and
air-conditioning systems. Solar panels also will be placed on the roof of the
expanded manufacturing building.
Warfel finished last year with $131.1 million in revenue,
according to Business Journal records. That was up from $109.6 million in 2014.
