Kinsley Construction building seven-story residential tower

The Towson, Md., office of York Township-based Kinsley Construction Inc. is handling construction of a seven-story residential tower in Towson for Maryland-based Federal Realty Investment Trust.

The Flats@703, a 161,800-square-foot building at 703 Washington Ave., will include 105 market-rate apartment units, a rooftop deck and a two-story parking garage.

Cost of construction was not disclosed. Residents are expected to occupy the new tower by summer 2017, according to Kinsley.

Federal Realty owns several Pennsylvania properties, including the Lancaster Shopping Center at the intersection of the Oregon and Lititz pikes in Manheim Township.

Shares of the company are traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol FRT.

Kinsley is the largest general contractor, ranked by revenue, in the Business Journal's coverage area.
