Distribution center leased to Amazon sell



A 700,000-square-foot distribution center leased to Amazon as a fulfillment center has been sold for $62.4 million.

American Realty Advisors bought 2 Ames Drive in Carlisle, Pa., from a joint venture between Dermody Properties and a limited liability corporation going under the name PCCP. The seller was represented by Michael Hines and Brian Fiumara of CBRE Inc.

The building is fully leased to the online retailer trough 2024 and sits on 53 acres. Dermody bought the land and building in 2013.

The property sits off of Exit 44 of Interstate 81 and is in one of the state’s key distribution markets at the confluence of I-81 and I-76 and not far from I-78. The corridor is home to large bulk warehousing and distribution centers leased or owned by companies such as FedEx, Procter & Gamble, Nordstrom, Georgia Pacific and Walmart.
