The University of Pennsylvania Health System has added to
its space at Centre Square and now occupies a total of 264,000 square feet in
the Center City office tower.
The health system signed a lease on the 23rd floor, or
roughly 29,583 square feet, in the west tower of the building, according to
various real estate sources. The new lease is for roughly 10 years.
Penn’s health system maintains operations related to
finance and staff training in the building, according to a spokeswoman at
health system, who declined to answer additional questions about its presence
in the property.
Penn Medicine, which initially signed onto space in the
building in 2007, has been growing its Center City presence ever since. Just in
2014, it signed a lease to take another 56,000 square feet, which is two full
floors, at Centre Square West. Penn Medicine Academy and Nursing Professional
Development and Innovation are among the operations the health system houses in
the building.
