Philadelphia developer Bart Blatstein will open the first
phase of his redevelopment project in Atlantic City called T Street.
Blatstein opened his 90,000-square-foot first-floor strip
of bars and restaurants Friday in his Playground project, a redevelopment of
the Pier Shops at Caesars.
T Street pubs include TAG, Bo’s, Purdy, 1921 and The
Bluey. The Playground will also house 39 N, a 13,500-square-foot music and
events space, which can accommodate more than 2,000 guests.
Just outside of 39N will be the Riviera, a beer garden on
the pier’s back deck, which puts 4,000 square feet over the ocean. It's set to
open on July 4th weekend.
Blatstein announced earlier this month that he would be
partnering with Bonfire Entertainment and The Garces Group for entertainment,
and food and beverage menus.
Blatstein’s Tower Investments completed the purchase of
the Pier Shops from real estate investment firm CBRE for about $2.7 million in
November. The structure was originally valued at $200 million.
