Upon expiration of a typical 9a collective bargaining relationship, the agreement expires and labor an management can continue to do one of several things:
1: Agree to extend the old agreement, continue working under the terms and conditions of the expired relationship and continue to attempt to negotiate a new agreement without any job action.
2: Simply continue to work under the terms and conditions of the expired relationship without any extension and or job action.
3: Labor may choose to withdraw their labor forces and strike the employer.
4: Employers may choose to “Lockout” the existing workforce.
What is being reported above is from a single source. At this time, there are no public announcements regarding “Strikes”, “Extensions” or actions.
