New office space is going up in Hellertown with the start
of construction for the Hellertown Professional Building near the intersection
of Main and Water streets.
“There has been some positive changes in Hellertown,”
said Amy Harris, director of commercial leasing for ALT Realty in Bethlehem.
“We’ve had a lot of people contacting us for office space in that area.”
ALT Realty is leasing the spaces in the building. Harris
said the company has interested potential tenants; she declined to disclose
their names.
The cost to build the project is $4.3 million, she said.
The shell and core areas for the 11,500-square-foot Class-A office building
should be complete by the end of the year, with interior tenant fit-outs to
follow, she said.
MKSD Architects of South Whitehall Township is the
architectural firm for the project, and Allied Building Corp. of Bethlehem is
the general contractor.
The owner of the property is 708 Main St. LP. The
developer is Lou Pektor along with his firm, Ashley Development of Bethlehem,
Harris said. Pektor is not a partner in 708 Main St. LP, Harris said.
