Stewart
& Tate Construction will build the $2.7 million memory care residence
planned at Normandie Ridge Senior Living Community in West Manchester Township.
The
contractor made the announcement this morning. Stewart & Tate is finishing a
10,000-square-foot interior renovation project for Normandie Ridge that began
last summer and was projected to cost $1.3 million.
The
memory care residence project will include construction of an 11,000-square-foot
addition that will feature 16 rooms, 14 of which will be private rooms
"designed specifically for the needs of the cognitively impaired,"
the contractor said in a news release.
Work
is set to begin in March and is slated for completion Dec. 1.
Normandie
Ridge is owned and operated by Albright Care Services, a faith-based nonprofit
corporation. Albright is affiliated with the Susquehanna Conference of The United Methodist Church.
In
addition to Normandie Ridge, Albright also owns and operates RiverWoods
Senior Living Community in Lewisburg and Living Independently For
Elders (LIFE) sites in Williamsport, Lebanon and Lancaster, and it manages Warrior
Run Manor, an HUD-approved housing complex in Watsontown.
Headquartered
in Manchester Township, Stewart & Tate has been involved in various capital
projects over the years with Albright Care Services. The
company completed numerous apartments, renovations and facilities on both the
York and Lewisburg campuses.
