Harrisburg-based Quandel Enterprises Inc. will break ground
next week on a $7.2 million construction project at Easton Hospital in
Northampton County.
Construction on a new cardiac care facility at the
medical center is expected to be complete this spring.
Quandel is building an electrophysiology lab, which will
treat patients with irregular heartbeats, and a hybrid lab, which will
eliminate the need to move patients with complex cardiac cases who could need
to go to the operating room.
A two-story building will be connected to the main
hospital and will have a similar brick façade. Both labs will exist in this
building and will measure a little more than 1,000 square feet.
Quandel recently remodeled Easton Hospital’s behavioral
health unit, which opened in June.
