Brandywine Realty Trust could sell the former 30th Street
Main Post Office building, which now houses the Internal Revenue Service's
local staff, chief executive Jerry Sweeney said Thursday in a conference call.
The company is evaluating how much the building's sale
could be worth to the company as part of a larger asset-disposition program
aimed at raising funds for ongoing development projects and to pay down debt,
Sweeney said.
The 1930s building could be among the assets that the Radnor-based
company sells in 2016, Sweeney said in response to an analyst's question.
Sweeney also said the company plans no new acquisitions
through the end of next year.
