Gorski Engineering Inc. of Collegeville is building a
Kiddie Academy day care center in Milford Township near Quakertown.
The company hosted a groundbreaking Wednesday to mark the
start of construction for the project, which will cost a little more than $2
million to build.
Construction should be finished by the end of October,
said Jerry Gorski, president of Gorski Engineering. The 10,000-square foot, single-story
building will have a variety of masonry and siding on the exterior, he said.
The company bought the property for $425,000 and will
lease it to Andrea Zion, the day care business owner and operator, Gorski said.
The business will employ about 12 people and potentially as many as 22.
The property is about eight acres; about five acres will
remain as open space. QNB Bank of Quakertown provided financing for the
design/build project.
