The Pennsylvania Builders Association has named Daniel
Durden as its new CEO, replacing Jennifer Casey, who announced her resignation
in August.
Durden, the former chief legal officer for the National
Association of Home Builders, will take over the full-time role on Oct. 27.
He served in that capacity for 17 years, where he oversaw
11 legal professionals who worked on a wide array of association and
transactional issues, as well as advocating on behalf of the building industry
in the nation’s courts and administrative agencies.
“Dan comes to PBA with experience in many areas that will
immediately benefit our organization,” said PBA President Kevin Coutts. “It
will be an easy transition to get him up to speed as we start a new chapter in
the PBA history book.”
Durden received his law degree from American University’s
Washington College of Law, where he served as senior editor of the American
University Law Review. He received his undergraduate degree in English from
Northern Kentucky University.
“I look forward to working with an organization that can
contribute so much to improving Pennsylvania’s economy while making the
American dream a reality for the state’s residents,” he said.
The PBA is a nonprofit professional trade organization
representing nearly 5,400 member companies from across the commonwealth.
