Two High companies have been selected to put in a new
Berks County office and maintenance facility for Maine Drilling & Blasting.
High Construction Co. was awarded a design-build contract
for the 5,500-square-foot facility, and Greenfield Architects Ltd. is the project architect,
according to a news release issued today. High Real Estate Group LLC is based in East Lampeter
Township, and both firms are its affiliates, along with High Associates Ltd., High Investors Ltd. and High Hotels Ltd.
The project cost was not disclosed, but the release said
construction will begin in December and wrap up in April 2015.
Maine
Drilling & Blasting, which is based in Maine, also has offices in New
Hampshire, Vermont, New York, Massachusetts and Connecticut and in Jackson
Township, Lebanon County. It said the capital investment in this new regional
facility "will better support the company’s commitment to continued growth
and local customer service to the Mid-Atlantic region."
