The N95 respirator is important to the
health and safety of workers in many different industries. This type of
respirator forms a seal against the user’s face, preventing penetration around
the edges, and the filter protects workers against at least 95 percent of
airborne particles. In honor of N95 Respirator Day, the National Institute for
Occupational Safety and Health will be holding an informational Twitter chat on
Sept. 5, 2014, at 2 p.m. EDT to raise awareness about respirator safety and
answer questions about different models and types of respirators. Follow and
join the chat using the hashtag #N95Chat on Twitter.
