Slated to be done in early 2016, the building is a 79,300-square-foot health center that will replace the current 72,300-square-foot, 108-bed building, the company said.
The original center was built in 1957 and expanded several times, the last in 1990.
The new center will have four households, each with 24 private rooms and baths. Each household will have its own kitchen, dining, living and activity space, as well as outdoor space — either a covered porch or balcony and courtyard areas.
There also will be a physical therapy center, multipurpose room, chapel, a beauty shop and dental clinic, according to Arthur Funk.
Manheim Township-based Beers & Hoffman Ltd. Architects designed the building for Cornwall Manor.
