Construction is underway for a multistory office building
along a busy corridor of South Whitehall Township.
Developer Harry Weinstein is transforming 1.66 acres
affecting three lots at 3120 and 3136 Hamilton Blvd. for an office complex,
according to Gerald J. Harbison, manager of the community development
department at South Whitehall Township.
Weinstein confirmed that his company, Sunburst Property
Management of Allentown, acquired all of the approvals for the project for
RE/MAX of Allentown, which is building the site.
No further details about the project could be provided at
this time, said David Coleman, broker/owner of RE/MAX of Allentown, a real
estate agency.
The township approved the project in 2012, according to
minutes from a township commissioners’ meeting.
The plan called for the removal of the existing miniature
golf course for the construction of an 8,640-square-foot commercial building
and a 7,820-square-foot lower level parking lot, according to Harbison.
The property, next to Cali Burito and adjacent to Dorney
Square, an existing office building, is diagonal from the King George Inn and
zoned highway commercial.
