Lehigh
Valley Health Network will open a new facility off Route 100 in Fogelsville
next year. Brian Downs, spokesman for LVHN, confirmed that the network will
open one of its health center facilities at the site.
As
previously reported, Serfass Construction Management Inc. of North Whitehall
Township is building the facility, which is near Weis Markets in Fogelsville.
Serfass is building it for Jaindl Land Co., which would be the LVHN landlord
for the facility.
Kevin
Serfass, president of Serfass, said construction should be on a 10-month
schedule. The 40,000-square-foot building is designed by MKSD Architects of
South Whitehall Township and will be constructed on a vacant lot on the same
side as Weis, Serfass said.
The
site is at the southwest corner of Nursery Street and Route 100, according to
Adam Jaindl of Jaindl Land Co.
He
anticipates additional growth in this area and said the company is planning
apartments/townhouses and single-family homes as part of this project.
Downs
said that at this time, there are no further details on what will be offered at
the medical facility.
This
year, LVHN opened The Health Center at Bangor in a Pen Argyl shopping plaza.
The center, at 1337 Blue Valley Drive in Pen Argyl, offers health services
ranging from cancer and cardiac care to urgent care and laboratory services.
