Newmark Grubb Knight Frank opens office at 2.0 University Place

Newmark Grubb Knight Frank has opened an office in the University City neighborhood of Philadelphia.

It took space at 2.0 University Place, a five-story, 97,000-square-foot building at 30 N. 41 St. NGKF brokers Jack Soloff, Matt Guerrieri and Craig Scheuerle handled the leasing of that building as well as 3.0 University Place.

University Place Associates, which constructed 2.0 University Place, is also looking to move forward with 3.0 University Place. That is a six-story, 180,000-square-foot building at 41st and Market streets that will break ground once it has pre-leased about half of the space. The building sits in a Keystone Opportunity Zone, which gives tenants breaks on state and local taxes.

No other commercial real estate brokerage maintains an office in University City.

Cushman & Wakefield, which oversees leasing space at the Science Center in University City, has a leasing “suite” at the Science Center. However, the firm believes it can serve its clients from its regional hub at One Liberty Place.

NGKF has a Center City office at 1735 Market St.
