Amazon.com Inc. plans to open two new New Jersey
fulfillment centers, including one in Burlington County, the online retailer
said in a release on Wednesday. The planned 600,000-square-foot facility in
Florence will employ more than 500 workers when it opens, it said.
The company said it also plans a new 800,000-square-foot
center that will employ 1,500 in Carteret. It will be Amazon's second facility
in the North Jersey city.
The company did not immediately respond to an e-mail
asking when the new centers would open.
