Williams Holding Group, a development company owned by
brothers Paul and Andrew Williams of Susquehanna Township-based A.P. Williams
Inc., today announced plans to build a two-story office building in Lower
Paxton Township.
The company last month acquired about 3.4 acres on Sir
Thomas Court in Olde English Gap Professional Park. The cost of the site was
$440,000, according to Dauphin County deed records.
A land development plan has been approved for the
building, which would be about 31,200 square feet, according to Bobbie Van
Buskirk, director of business development.
The company is hoping to secure a medical user, maybe
two, to occupy the facility. The goal would be to start construction in the
spring, she said, with work expected to take about six months to compete.
A.P. Williams, a general construction and construction
management company, would erect the building. The basic shell is estimated to
cost $3.7 million, Van Buskirk said.
"Our approach is simple," Paul Williams said in
a statement. "By completing the building shell designs and obtaining final
land development approvals, we are able to eliminate the uncertainties inherent
to the land planning process. We have had success with this development
approach in the past."
The company also can control the schedule and the costs.
The brothers also own Mainline Excavating.
