Leadership changes at notable Valley architectural firm

There’s change at the top at a well-known Lehigh Valley architectural firm.

Mark Thompson, one of the partners of MKSD Architects in South Whitehall Township, is leaving the firm to move to London.

Thompson is transferring his ownership in the firm to Todd Chambers and Jill Hewes. The two have been associate partners since 2011. They will now be full partners.

Chambers said the transition has been in the planning stages for some time, and clients should see a seamless transition.

“For those most part, it will be a continuation of the building on our solid reputation. We’ve already been doing this for a long time,” he said.

Chambers noted that the firm has already made a number of new hires in recent months, and he expects the staff to continue to grow.

“Although I certainly have mixed emotions about leaving MKSD, I am confident that our thoughtful transition planning has given my business partner, Silvia Hoffman, the ability to lead MKSD into a future that is stronger than I could have ever imagined,” Thompson said in a release.
