Developers say first apartment building fully leased at Madison Farms

The first building of luxury apartments at the Madison Farms development in Bethlehem Township is fully leased, reflecting the strong interest in upscale living in the Greater Lehigh Valley, according to Kushner Real Estate Group of Bridgewater, N.J.

KRE Group partnered with The Silverman Group, a real estate company in Short Hills, N.J., to develop the $50 million suburban/retail project.

New residents are moving into the community every day and soon will occupy the entire first building, the company said.

More residential units are under construction. Once fully built, the property will have more than 800 luxury residences and 140,000 square feet of retail space.

Apartments in the second residential building at Madison Farms also are near the retail village and available for leasing. One- and two-bedroom units are available, with den and loft layouts available in select units.

Floor plans range from 790 to 1,375 square feet.

The company said Madison Farms marked another milestone this week with the opening of its second retailer, PetValu, which sells pet food, treats, accessories and toys. In July, the company celebrated the opening of ShopRite supermarket, an anchor tenant.

Developers are looking to provide a comprehensive retail village that caters to residents’ needs, including a supermarket, bank, dental services and coffee shop. Other retailers expected to open this year or early next year include Chocolate Works, Verizon Wireless, Provident Bank, Supercuts, Lightbridge Academy, Heartland Dental, Subway and Starbucks.

The 100-acre property is on Freemansburg Avenue near Route 33 and Interstate 78.
