Developer plans renovations to recently acquired Centre Square Easton apartments

Post Road Management, a developer with an increasing footprint in Easton, plans to upgrade 24 apartments in a Centre Square building he recently bought in a $2.8 million real estate transaction.

Borko Milosev, principal of the firm, said he bought the Huntington Building at 5 N. Third St. in Easton as part of a deal that also included a 40-car parking lot and a seven-unit apartment building.

He owns two other properties in the downtown, 132-135 Northampton St. and 137-139 Northampton St., which are across from the Grand Eastonian hotel. His properties there house a mix of apartments and retail spaces.

He said the work he plans for the 24 Centre Square apartments will be similar to the work on the Northampton Street properties.

“It’s a beautiful building, but a lot of it is dated,” he explained. Milosev said his crews will be installing new kitchens, including granite-type counter tops and shaker-style cabinets, and will replace windows, paint walls and upgrade common areas.

He also plans façade improvements to the buildings he acquired.

He said the latest renovation project is part of his company’s overall strategy.

“We find beautiful buildings, and we go in and spend the capital, energy and time to bring them up to date,” Milosev said.

He said the property is in a highly visible and desirable area, and he expects to be able to lease the apartments quickly once the renovations are complete.

“The city is a very happening place right now,” he said.
