Harrisburg-based Alexander Building Construction Co. has
completed a roughly $9 million addition to Lycoming College's science complex
in Williamsport, the company announced last week.
The project was announced last summer and took a year to
complete.
A three-story, 31,500-square-foot addition, known as the
Lynn Science Center, was added to the existing Heim Science Building.
It includes space for the school's astronomy, geology and
physics programs, as well as a planetarium.
Lycoming College is a four-year, residential liberal arts
and sciences school with about 1,400 undergraduates.
Alexander is part of Butz Enterprises Inc., based in
Allentown. Butz reported $290.5 million in revenue last year, according to
Engineering News-Record, or ENR.
