J.G. Petrucci Co. Inc. received approval from the Palmer
Township board of supervisors Tuesday night to construct a 182,000-square-foot
industrial building.
The company, which has locations in Bethlehem and Asbury,
N.J., wants to build the facility on vacant property on Newlins Mill Road, not
far from the new Route 33 Chrin Interchange.
“They do not have a tenant yet and received land
development approval and conditional use approval,” said Dave Colver, chairman
of the township’s board of supervisors. The building could be set up for one,
two or three tenants for manufacturing or warehouse use, with 28 loading docks,
Colver said.
MCS Industries Inc., a supplier of tabletop and wall
décor, is to the east of the property, and Majestic Athletic, a sports team
clothing manufacturer, is to the west.
Colver described the project as very clean, meeting all
requirements for approval.
“It sits on the property well; they complied with every
part of the ordinance,” Colver said.
Petrucci will now design the project so that it can
market it and then begin to build, Colver said.
The site is not in the Chrin Commerce Centre; it is in
the township’s adjacent industrial park.
