Liberty Property Trust announced that it has signed an
agreement with Uline to be the tenant of two buildings to be constructed in its
new Liberty Business Center III in Upper and Lower Macungie townships. The two
buildings will total around two million square feet.
Liberty will construct two build-to-suit warehouses for
Uline, which leases space in four other Liberty-managed buildings in the Lehigh
Valley.
“We are excited to begin the project in Liberty Business
Center III, particularly as it is with our long-term tenant, Uline,” said
Robert Kiel, senior vice president and city manager for Liberty Property Trust.
“Having worked together for years on previous buildings, it is gratifying to
again be able to provide them with a first-class development solution, which in
this instance allows them to effectively consolidate their operations into a
campus setting.”
Uline is a distributor of shipping, industrial and
packaging materials that is headquartered in Wisconsin.
It will be taking up the entire square footage of the
business center and will be its only tenant according to Kiel.
The new 200-acre development is on Mill Creek Road
between Hamilton Boulevard and the Route 222 bypass.
Liberty plans to break ground on the buildings in June.
