Graham Architectural Products acquires 'significant equity' in Florida company

Spring Garden Township-based Graham Architectural Products Corp., part of the Graham Group, completed an agreement Tuesday to acquire a “significant equity and operating partner position” of Hialeah, Fla.-based Continental Glass Systems LLC.

The agreement was first announced in January, and the company did not disclose the size of the investment at that time. A Graham spokesman could not be reached for comment regarding its announcement of the acquisition Wednesday.

Graham Architectural Products manufactures architectural-grade windows, window wall, doors and curtain wall, it said. Continental Glass Systems provides products to architects, owners, constructors and builders, and specializes in Miami-Dade notice of acceptance approvals based on hurricane-zone testing.

The York-based Graham Group is an alliance of industrial and investment management businesses, and its three “legacy industrial businesses” — Graham Packaging, Graham Architectural and Graham Engineering — generate about $3.5 billion in annual revenue, according to its website. Graham Packaging was sold to Reynolds Group Holdings Ltd. in 2011.

Graham's acquisition of Continental will broaden the company's manufacturing presence in the southern United States, it said.

Continental will continue to do business as Continental Glass Systems, and its owners — Shlomo Epstein and Samir Moussa — will be CEO and COO for the business, the news release said.
