Two Bucks airports to get upgrades

Two airports among six to get upgrades

DOYLESTOWN Two Bucks County airports are among six in Pennsylvania that will receive investment from the state Department of Transportation, the agency announced Monday.

The Doylestown Airport and Quakertown Airport will both use their funds to remove obstacles from near their runways, PennDot said.

The Doylestown Airport will receive $487,500, according to PennDot, and $180,000 will go to the Quakertown Airport.

The investments are part of a $9.7 million overall effort, PennDot said. The largest investment, $5 million, will go to building a new terminal at Williamsport Regional Airport.
