Final touches approved for new Bucks Justice Center

$500,000 is approved for new Justice Center, rehab of old site

DOYLESTOWN The Bucks County Commissioners on Wednesday approved the spending of $500,000 to put the finishing touches on the new Justice Center and to start rehabbing the old one.

The funding will go to the New Jersey-based construction management company Joseph Jingoli and Son Inc.

Among the firm's many tasks is to make sure the elevators are certified, the building is compliant with the Americans With Disabilities Act and the audio visual systems have warranties.

The new Bucks County Justice Center is an eight-story facility and the county's most expensive construction project. The 285,000-square-foot facility, which opened last month, has 16 courtrooms. The old courthouse will be used as county office space.
