Wohlsen Construction Company was recognized by the
eastern Pennsylvania chapter of the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC)
with three awards of excellence during the chapter’s recent Awards of
Excellence Banquet.
The company’s first award was in the institutional senior
living over $15 million category for its work in building the Shepherd’s
Crossing Independent and Assisted Living Facility for Christ’s Home Retirement
Community in Warminster, Pennsylvania. Lenhardt Rogers Architects, from Fort
Washington, Pennsylvania, designed the facility.
The second award recognized Wohlsen’s work on the Concord
Health Center for Christina Care Health System. The 75,219-square-foot facility
is in Chadd’s Ford, Pennsylvania and utilizes the designs of Bernardon Harber
Holloway Architects.
Wohlsen was recognized in the Institutional Senior Living
below $15 million category for its completion of renovations on 75,000 square
feet of the Wesley Enhanced Living at Stapeley senior living facility in
Philadelphia. The renovations were designed by Lancaster, Pennsylvania-based
RLPS Architects, Ldt.
ABC represents contractors and builders in the
construction industry on a merit shop philosophy, which supports free
enterprise and fair business practices that support employers’ and employees’
rights, and fair laws and regulation to support those rights. ABC has chapters
nationwide, with all specialties in construction represented among its members.
