Reading Bakery Systems is expanding its manufacturing
facility in Robesonia to meet the increased demand for the company's commercial
ovens.
A manufacturer of baking and process systems for the
global baked snack food industry, RBS’s expansion will double its existing oven
manufacturing facility to 38,000 square feet.
The expansion also will include a 480-square-foot,
environmentally controlled paint booth.
“Although we just opened the Oven Works manufacturing
facility in 2012, the increased demand for our products has warranted another
expansion,” said Joseph Zaleski, president of Reading Bakery Systems.
According to Travis Getz, RBS vice president of
operations who is supervising the expansion, the new facility will include
three main areas: oven manufacturing, welding, fabrication and assembly; metal
and plastic cutting; and a staging and storage area.
Reading Bakery Systems, a Markel Bakery Group company,
provides processing solutions capable of producing a wide range of snack
products and offers continuous mixing solutions to industries including baked
snacks, crackers, pet treats and bread and buns.
Company brands include Thomas L. Green, Reading Pretzel,
Exact Mixing and Reading Thermal.
