Simon Property Group added some additional details to its
estimated $150 million expansion at the King of Prussia Mall.
The 155,000-square-foot project will take the existing
2.65-million-square-foot mall and bring it to 2.8 million square feet. The
expansion will bring the total number of stores to 450 to 470. It will also
mean more jobs, as Simon estimates the expansion will create between 300 and
400 new positions at the mall.
The company rings up $1 billion annually now at the mall
and the expansion is expected to add on another $100 million.
