"Trump" name coming off Atlantic City casino

What Donald Trump wants, Donald Trump gets.

Back in August, he filed a lawsuit in state Superior Court in Atlantic County against Trump Entertainment to remove his name from the Trump Plaza and Trump Taj Mahal. (He hasn't owned or operated them in five years.)

Now, the Associated Press is reporting that the "Trump" name will be removed from the now-closed Trump Plaza casino. The news came from Trump's daughter Ivanka who works with her father.

The report says the letters will start to come down on Monday. They're still fighting to get the name removed from the Taj Mahal. The Associated Press has more:

They claim the company let the two casinos fall into such disrepair that it violated quality standards both sides agreed to.

Trump has been giving some mixed messages about Atlantic City lately. Although he sued to get his name removed from the buildings, he hinted at saving his once-proud casino empire by saying this on Twitter: "I left Atlantic City years ago, good timing. Now I may buy back in, at much lower price, to save Plaza & Taj. They were run badly by funds!"
