The final rule that will require employers to notify OSHA
of all work-related hospitalizations, amputations or losses of an eye in
addition to workplace fatalities has been published in the Federal Register.
The rule, which also updates the list of employers partially exempt from OSHA
record-keeping requirements, will go into effect Jan. 1, 2015, for workplaces
under federal OSHA jurisdiction. For more information, visit www.osha.gov/recordkeeping2014.
