East Hempfield Township-based
Warfel Construction Co. announced this week that it has started on a $21
million senior living apartment building in Montgomery County.
The four-story,
96,000-square-foot addition at the Masonic Village at Lafayette Hill will connect to
the facility’s existing health care center, according to a Warfel news release.
The project includes 60
apartment units that range in size from 800 to 1,100 square feet, featuring
full kitchens and baths. It also includes refacing the existing facade to
incorporate a consistent exterior throughout the campus, Warfel said.
The 21-acre community is
close to the historic Chestnut Hill section of Philadelphia.
Warfel expects to complete the
building by next August. It was designed by Manheim Township-based RLPS Architects.
