While slot revenue was down for the month, Pennsylvania’s 12
casinos reported an overall increase in table game revenue for the month of
July, including an increase at the Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem.
According to the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board, overall
revenue from table game play was $61.1 million for July 2013, up 1.93 percent
over July 2013.
The Sands, which had 200 table games in July 2014, had
$14.44 million in revenue compared to 183 table games and $12.95 million in
revenue in July 2013.
Mount Airy Casino Resort in Mount Pocono, however, saw a dip
in revenue despite adding table games.
With 80 table games in July 2014, that casino took in $3.2
million in table game revenue, while it had 73 table games and $3.83 million in
table game revenue in July 2013.
The monthly report, posted on the board's website,
www.gamingcontrolboard.pa.gov, also shows that $8.8 million in tax revenue was
generated from table games in July.
