La Salle University is scheduled to break ground next month
on a $35 million new business school.
The school announced plans last November that it sought to
construct a new 78,000-square-foot facility for its school of business at the
intersection of Wister and Chew avenues in Northwest Philadelphia. It has
scheduled to break ground Sept. 16 on the project.
A 300-seat auditorium, a sales training laboratory and corporate-style
boardroom are among some of the building’s features. The project is being
funded with $20 million from the university and $15 million from alumni
donations. The school has raised more than half of those funds.
The structure is expected to be completed in January 2016.
