DOYLESTOWN: The
Central Bucks School District and its teachers union have reached a tentative
agreement on a contract, the district announced this week.
Terms will not be publicly disclosed until the contract is
voted on in August, the district said. The previous contract, which expired at
the end of June, will be extended until the two sides vote.
The union, the Central Bucks Education Association, represents
1,200 teachers and other professional staff members across the district's 23
schools.
With just fewer than 20,000 students, Central Bucks is the
third-largest school district in the state, according to the district's
website.
