Fairview Township could soon see a Holiday Inn Express &
Suites off Interstate 83 and the Pennsylvania Turnpike.
The township approved the land development plan last June.
The construction plan is being reviewed for the 80-plus-room hotel, according
to township officials.
The hotel is slated to go up off Beacon Hill Boulevard and
Cliffside Drive, bordering the Yellow Breeches Creek.
That area continues to grow as a hospitality hub. A
Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott opened there in 2011.
The listed owner of the pending commercial construction
project is Niraj Parekh of Moonstone Hospitality LLC, based in Silver Spring
Township.
Parekh was not immediately available for comment. He owns
Simraj Hospitality Management LLC. Simraj operates seven area hotels, according
to its website, including four in York County.
Lemoyne-based Eastern PCM LLC is providing project
management services for Centric Bank, who is financing the hotel.
The project is expected to take a year to complete, said
Bill Morgan, Eastern's president and CEO.
