Pennsylvania Cyber Charter School teachers unionize

Teachers at the Pennsylvania Cyber Charter School have voted 71-34 for representation by the Pennsylvania State Education Association, the state's largest school employee union.

"PSEA will work with the teachers of Pennsylvania Cyber Charter School to initiate bargaining with their employer for a fair contract containing improved salaries, benefits, and working conditions," PSEA President Michael Crossey said in a news release.

Pennsylvania Cyber Charter School is a public K-12 charter school with a main office in Midland. The school's website also lists offices in Wexford, Pittsburgh, Greensburg, Allentown, Bellefonte, Harrisburg and Crum Lynne. According to school officials, the school employs approximately 115 teachers.

An affiliate of the National Education Association, PSEA represents approximately 180,000 future, active and retired teachers and school employees, and health care workers in Pennsylvania.
