Bureau of Labor Statistics: Private industry employers spend $29.63 per hour for employee compensation in December



The latest Employer Costs for Employee Compensation news release has been posted on the BLS website at http://www.bls.gov/news.release/pdf/ecec.pdf and also archived at http://www.bls.gov/news.release/archives/ecec_03122014.pdf. Highlights are below.

Private industry employers spent an average of $29.63 per hour worked for employee compensation in December 2013. Private industry costs averaged $2.05 per hour worked for paid leave benefits and $2.43 for legally required benefits.
