The Boyd Theatre, the Legendary Blue Horizon and Engine 46
are among the structures in Philadelphia the Preservation Alliance placed on
its annual Endangered Properties List.
A committee of preservation professionals compiles the list
from nominations submitted by Preservation Alliance members, private citizens,
community organizations and others. These nominations are taken throughout the
year and a new list is revealed in December.
Some of the buildings that made the list are threatened by
development while others suffer from a lack of funds and neglect. All of the
properties on this year’s list are in Philadelphia.
