Blue Horizon, Boyd Theatre make "endangered properties" list

The Boyd Theatre, the Legendary Blue Horizon and Engine 46 are among the structures in Philadelphia the Preservation Alliance placed on its annual Endangered Properties List.

A committee of preservation professionals compiles the list from nominations submitted by Preservation Alliance members, private citizens, community organizations and others. These nominations are taken throughout the year and a new list is revealed in December.

Some of the buildings that made the list are threatened by development while others suffer from a lack of funds and neglect. All of the properties on this year’s list are in Philadelphia.
