A group of Lehigh Valley businesses will be gathering
together in downtown Allentown this afternoon to launch construction of a new
Neighborhood Investment Zone project, The Trifecta Building.
Expected to be finished in 2014, the project is a complete
redevelopment of the former Schoen's Furniture store, which was built in 1910.
The structure had been vacant since 1990.
The building is owned by Jeff and Doug Brown, principals of
Charles Street Capital, and Douglas Pelletier, founder and CEO of Trifecta
Technologies.
The building at 612 Hamilton St. will be a mixed-use
facility with a street-level restaurant, loft-style office space on the second
through sixth floors and a rooftop terrace.
Trifecta Technologies, a provider of IT business services
and solutions, will occupy between 18,000-24,000 square feet of space on the
fourth through sixth floors when the project is completed and will serve as the
anchor tenant.
The company also will occupy the rooftop terrace.
Shane Patrick Associates, an Allentown construction
management firm, is leading the construction and also has signed a lease to
occupy the second floor upon completion.
