ST. LOUIS (AP) - Anheuser-Busch InBev and the Teamsters
union are about to begin contract talks.
The brewery said Tuesday that meetings with the union will
start early next month. The talks concern a contract for workers at
Anheuser-Busch's 12 U.S. breweries, including St. Louis.
The current contract is set to expire on Feb. 28.
A joint statement from the Teamsters and the brewery says
both sides expect negotiations to be "professional and productive."
It will be the first Teamsters contract since InBev
purchased St. Louis-based Anheuser-Busch in 2008.
