Amtrak seeks redevelopment plans for 30th Street Station area

Amtrak is seeking plans for redeveloping 30th Street Station and the surrounding area, the railroad said Monday.
A key element is likely to be development of the potentially lucrative "air rights" above the rail yards adjacent to the station.
Amtrak is working with Drexel University and Brandywine Realty Trust and a committee of affected parties, such as the University of Pennsylvania, SEPTA, and the city, to evaluate proposals for a comprehensive master plan for 30th Street Station.
Amtrak said proposals must be submitted by Nov. 18.
