Coventry Mall sold for $50M at auction

The Coventry Mall, a 802,275-square-foot retail property anchored by Boscov’s, was sold today at an auction for $49.5 million, according to the Pottstown Mercury.
U.S. Bank bought the property and was the sole bidder on the property at West Schuylkill Road and Route 100. Built in 1967, its other tenants include Kohl’s, Dick’s Sporting Goods and Ross Dress for Less. Sears closed in April 2012 and its space remains vacant. These regional malls have faced challenges from newer competition. Coventry Mall is not far from Philadelphia Premium Outlets in Limerick, Pa.
