PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Philadelphia City Council is conducting the fourth of five public hearings in the wake of the building collapse that killed six people in June.
Thursday's hearing is scheduled to focus on best practices for demolition work. Seventeen people are expected to appear.
The June 5 accident occurred when a downtown building being demolished collapsed onto a neighboring Salvation Army thrift store, killing two employees and four customers. Police allege a heavy equipment operator had been high on marijuana.
The city's top prosecutor has convened a grand jury to investigate whether anyone else should face criminal charges.
